Dec 20th, 2004
- Nikon has today announced the availability of a new firmware update (Version 1.4) for the Nikon Coolpix 8800 digital camera. The update fixes a couple of issues relating to capturing images continuously with the Coolpix 8800 set at an image-quality setting of RAW or EXTRA.

Issues Addressed with Nikon Coolpix 8800 Firmware Version 1.4

  • A problem that caused pictures taken continuously at an image-quality setting of [RAW] to have a magenta tint overall when viewed in PictureProject or Nikon Capture has been corrected.

  • A problem that caused recording problems for pictures taken continuously at an image-quality setting of [EXTRA] has been corrected.

The latest Nikon Coolpix 8800 firmware can be downloaded from the Nikon USA Tech Support Centre for both Windows and MAC based platforms.

As always we recommend visiting the Nikon subsidiary website in the country of origin were your purchased your camera to download the firmware.
