Announces Price on
EOS Digital Rebel XT DSLR
and New Powershot Models

- Canon Canada Inc. has today announced their
manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) on both the Canon EOS
Digital Rebel XT camera body and the Digital Rebel XT kit with the
dedicated Canon
EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 II zoom lens.
The MSRP
for the Canon Digital Rebel XT body only is $1149 CAN, compared to the
kit with lens at $1299 CAN.
Canon
has also reduced the MSRP on the original 6.3 MP Digital Rebel to $849
for the body only or $999 CAN for the kit. The Digital Rebel will continue
to be available on the market alongside the new EOS Digital Rebel XT.
Canon
has also confirmed the MSRP's for their new Powershot digital cameras.
