Nikon Coolwalker MSV-01 Major Features

Ample storage space. Holds approximately 10,000 images* with a 30GB hard disk, the MSV-01 gives the user the freedom to store an impressively large number of images. It's also compatible with CompactFlash and Microdrive and can be combined with a CF adapter** to enable use of SD cards too.

*Approximately 10,000 x 6-megapixel images can be stored in JPEG FINE.

View-anywhere convenience. The 2.5-inch color TFT LCD allows images to be viewed anywhere with the clarity of 117,600 pixels. The MSV-01 also offers connectivity to TVs too, so shots can be viewed on a much grander scale. A remote control terminal is additionally included, which is particularly useful when viewing images on a TV screen.

Peripheral performance. Direct printing without the need for a PC is made possible through support of PictBridge. The MSV-01 also offers further peripheral performance by acting as a card reader for a PC* and offering Hi-Speed USB 2.0 connectivity to PCs and CompactFlash compatibility - a media widely accepted at stores offering print services.

Compact convenience. With dimensions of just 81 X 130 X 35mm (approx.) and a weight of approximately 350g, the MSV-01 is designed to be carried comfortably virtually anywhere, allowing images to be viewed whenever the user desires.

Easy-to-view GUI and simple operation. With an easy-to-view GUI with an SLR-consistent design and an easy-to-understand Multi-Selector accompanied by two buttons, operation is both simple and user friendly.

Comprehensive protection. The MSV-01 has easy to grip rubber sides and is equipped with an internal hard drive secured by shock absorbers.

In the Box
The set will comprise the Coolwalker MSV-01 device, a Li-ion rechargeable battery EN-EL6, an AC adapter DSA-015F-05, a USB cable UC-E9, an audio video cable EG-CW1, a remote control unit ML-W1, a soft case CF-CW1, a software CD-ROM, an instruction manual and a warranty. The bundled software may differ depending on the country of destination.

An infrared wireless remote control ML-W1 is supplied, which has buttons corresponding to all the buttons on the device itself. All operations can therefore be carried out using the remote control unit. There is also a button enabling image rotation during single image playback, which is not present on the device itself. The remote control unit can be used at a distance of up to 5 meters by being directed at the light receptive spot on the device, as long as there is nothing obstructing the signal.

Image transfer to the MSV-01 is extremely easy, due to its compatibility with CompactFlash, Microdrive and even SD cards*. It is also capable of supporting JPEG, TIFF, NEF (RAW), Motion JPEG, and WAV formats. Perhaps most impressive of all, the MSV-01 is empowered with 30GB of hard disk space, giving it the capability to store an incredible 10,000 images (approx.)**. What's more, its dimensions of approximately 81 X 130 X 35mm and light weight of approximately 350g make it comfortable to carry anywhere and view images on its easy-to-view, built-in, 117,600-pixel, 2.5-inch color LCD.

Direct printing is possible without the need for a PC through support of PictBridge. It can also be easily hooked up to a PC using the included cable for swift image transfer via Hi-Speed USB 2.0. And because it is compatible with both CompactFlash and Microdrive, images can be easily handled by shops offering print services.

The MSV-01 can also be hooked up to a television, allowing the user to make the most of the handy Slideshow function with the included remote control terminal.

Rubber sides on the casing of the MSV-01 make it easy to grip, and shock absorbers are employed on all four corners of the internal hard disk for further confidence. The GUI is also as easy to view as possible, accompanied by a Multi-Selector that allows the swift navigation of functions and only two additional buttons.
