We
would like to take this opportunity to inform our valued
customers of an issue that may occur when the AF-S DX
VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED lens for digital-SLR
cameras is used with Nikon D70, D2H, and D100 cameras.
Symptom: In
some rare cases, the camera is unable to acquire accurate
focus on near subjects when shooting at wide-angle
positions and autofocusing at infinity.
Cause: This
issue is caused by incompatibilities in AF control
at short distances between the new Nikon AF-S DX VR
Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED.

Is
my camera affected?
This
issue may occur on rare occasions when the lens
is used with the following camera models listed
below.This issue does not occur with DX-format
digital-SLR cameras other than those indicated
below.

Resolution
This
issue cannot be resolved with adjustment of the
AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED
lens.
