D40X Sample Image EXIF Info

Nikon D40X digital SLR camera and AF-S DX 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G IF ED Nikkor zoom set at 18mm. Using multi-pattern metering with the camera in Program auto mode, and ISO set to 100, the Nikon D40X selected an aperture of f/5.6 and a 1/125 sec. shutter speed for this scene. We selected a -0.3 stop exposure compensation for the above shot.

We cropped the original image in the camera using the Nikon D40X "Trim" feature found in the camera's Retouch Menu (similar to the Nikon D80) and saved it as a copy.

Once again the Nikon D40X digital SLR's 420-segment 3D Matrix Metering II system performed well, providing accurate white balance and exposure.
