The Nikon D80 has a high ISO noise reduction feature that allows you to control the amount of noise reduction applied when using higher ISO settings. The selections available on the D80 include: Normal, Low, High and Off. For the above we left the D80 at the default setting (normal high ISO NR).

Using the simple default Auto WB mode we found the Nikon D80 did a good job overall in terms of setting the correct white balance for this image. A nice feature for more novice users. For those that desire extended control to meet more critical needs the Nikon D80 allows you to select WB manually and tweak the settings for personal preference. With NEF/RAW images and Nikon Capture NX software you can also change and adjust your WB settings after the fact if need be.
