July 17th , 2006 - Nikon Canada Inc. has today lowered the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) on the popular Nikon D200 digital SLR body only and the Nikon D50 kit with the Nikon AF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G zoom lens.

The price has also been reduced on the Nikon D70s digital SLR body only and the Nikon D70s digital SLR kit with the Nikon AF-S DX 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED zoom lens.

The new MSRP for the Nikon D200 digital SLR is now $2069 CDN, reflecting a $80 manufacturer's price reduction on the Nikon D200.

The Nikon D50 kit with the DX AF-S 18-55mm lens is now $849. The MSRP on the Nikon D50 camera body alone is now $669 CDN.

The new MSRP on the Nikon D70s digital SLR kit with the DX AF-S 18-70mm lens is $1269. The MSRP on the Nikon D70s camera body alone is now $849 CDN. This reflects an $80 manufacturer's price reduction on the Nikon D70s.

At the same time, Nikon Canada has reduced the price on some of their existing point and shoot Nikon Coolpix digital cameras, including the 6MP, Nikon Coolpix S4 with 10x optical swivel zoom. The new MSRP's for various Nikon digital cameras is outlined below:
