NIKON Canada Inc. Announces Enhanced
Warranty Program

TORONTO, ON – October 9, 2003 – Nikon Canada Inc. today announced a new warranty program for the purchasers of Nikon Coolpix digital cameras and all Nikkor Interchangeable Lenses (including Nikkor, AF Nikkor and DX Nikkor lenses).

Nikon Coolpix digital cameras purchased through an Authorized Nikon Canada dealer will now be covered under a 2 year Canadian warranty against manufacturing defects, while purchasers of new Nikkor lenses will be covered under an enhanced 5 year Canadian warranty program.

“As an industry leader, Nikon is offering these extended warranties to consumers to give them the added confidence to make their purchase, knowing their investment is protected,” said Peter Burke, President, Nikon Canada. “At this time, the extended warranty on digital cameras is an industry first, and exclusive to Nikon Canada.”

These programs are for Canadian residents, and do not include purchases made outside of the country.
