Canon Canada Inc. has today announced a series of rebates on the Canon
EOS 30D and the Canon EOS 5D digital SLR cameras, along with savings on
a number of Canon EF lenses and other Canon accessories including
the Canon 430EX and Canon 580EX external speedlite flash
units.
Although
some of the other Canon worldwide subsidiaries are also offering mail-in
discounts, Canon USA Inc. has not yet launched any program on the Canon
EOS 30D or the Canon EOS 5D digital SLR cameras.

In Canada the Canon
EOS 30D digital SLR now comes with a $150 mail-in rebate. The 12.8MP Canon
EOS 5D digital SLR now comes with a $350 CDN rebate. Offer is valid April
1st to June 30th, 2007.
While the Canon EF 17-85mm
IS USM is not eligible for an additional discount, the Canon EF 17-40mm
L USM lens does come with a $50 mail-in rebate offer. If for example you
buy the Canon EOS 30D digital SLR body and the EF 17-40mm L USM lens the
total savings will amount to $200 CDN.
