Canon Canada Inc. has once again launched a series of generous "double cash back" rebates covering SLR cameras like the Canon EOS 40D and the higher end full frame 12.8 MP Canon EOS 5D, along with savings on a number of Canon EF lenses, Speedlites, Pixma Pro Printers and other Canon accessories.

The Canon EOS 40D body only or kit with lens now comes with a $100 mail in rebate, and the Canon EOS 5D body only comes with a $200 savings. Buy one of the Canon EF lenses on the list and you can save up to $300 on just the lens. (See offers below)

Purchase any combination of two or more different Products listed on the form and receive the double rebate value for each Product purchased. Purchase an eligible EOS digital camera/kit with any one of the Products listed and receive the double rebate value on that item.

For example, if you buy the Canon EOS 40D kit with the EF-S 17-85mm IS zoom lens you are eligible for a $100 mail in rebate. If you buy the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM zoom at the same time, the savings becomes $200 (double discount) for the EOS 40D with EF 17-85mm IS USM lens and an additional $200 off the lens for a total savings of $400.

Although there is no cash back offer on the Canon Digital Rebel SLR camera models like the new Rebel XSi / 450D or top of the line professional models, customers can still benefit when buying one of these camera systems by saving on lenses and select accessories. In the above example, buying the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM zoom with a Rebel SLR camera kit will still qualify the lens for the $200 savings.
