Digital SLR Camera Price Drops

- Nikon Canada Inc. has lowered the manufacturer's
suggested retail price (MSRP) today
on a number of their digital SLR cameras
including the popular Nikon D200, D2Xs, Nikon D80 and Nikon D40.
The
professional 12.4MP Nikon D2Xs digital SLR camera body has been reduced
by almost $300 to a new MSRP of $4999 CDN.

The
Nikon D80 digital SLR kit with the Nikon AF-S DX 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G
ED zoom lens
has been reduced by $40 CDN.
The
manufacturer's suggested retail price for the Nikon D80 kit with the
AF-S 18-135mm Nikon lens is now $1439 CDN, and the MSRP for
the Nikon D80 kit with 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens is now $1499 CDN.
The
new MSRP for the Nikon D200 digital SLR is now $1749 CDN, reflecting
a $100 manufacturer's price reduction on the Nikon D200 digital SLR
camera
The
Nikon D40 kit with
the DX AF-S 18-55mm lens is now
$729. The
new MSRP on the Nikon D40 digital SLR kit with
the DX AF-S 18-135mm lens is now
$949. The MSRP on the Nikon D40 camera body alone is now $619 CDN.
Nikon Canada has also confirmed that the manufacturer's
suggested retail price
for the new 10MP Coolpix P5000 digital camera will be $499.
