Nikon
Canada Inc. has today announced time limited direct to dealer cash back
rebates on
a number of their DSLR cameras, including the entry level Nikon D40, the
family photography oriented Nikon D60, and the Nikon D300 and D700 digital
SLR for the serious hobbyist and professional geared photographer.

The Nikon D60 digital SLR with AF-S DX 18-55mm VR zoom lens kit comes
with a $50 CAN instant "holiday savings" rebate for a manufacturer's
recommended retail price (MSRP) of $599. The rebate is in effect from
Nov 17th until January 4th 2008.
The Nikon D300 body
only now comes with a $100 CAN instant rebate for a "Holiday Savings"
MSRP of $1699 CAN. Dealers are free to sell for less. Canadian photo specialty
retailer Mostlydigital is now offering the Nikon D300 for $1586
CAN one of the lowest prices we have seen on the Nikon D300 from an authorized
Nikon Canada dealer.
Nikon Canada has also
announced a $150 time limited discount on the Nikon D700 digital SLR body.
This brings the MSRP on the Nikon D700 down to $3149 CAN.
Taking into account
the current exchange rate (1 US$ = 1.25372 CAD as of Nov 19th) this price
compares favourably with the lower prices seen in the US on the Nikon

Photo now has the Nikon D700 body only available for $2519
US.
