Camera and Nikkor Lens Price Drops

- Nikon Canada Inc. has lowered the manufacturer's
suggested retail price (MSRP) today
on a number of their digital SLR cameras
including the Nikon D200, Nikon D80, D40X and Nikon D40.

The
higher end 10.2MP Nikon D200 digital SLR camera body has been reduced
by $80 to a new MSRP of $1669 CDN.
The Nikon D80 digital SLR kit with the Nikon AF-S DX 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G
ED zoom lens
has been reduced by $40 CDN. The
MSRP for the Nikon D80 kit with the AF-S 18-135mm Nikon lens is now
$1399 CDN, and the Nikon
D80 kit with 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens is now priced at $1469 CDN.
The
Nikon D40 kit with
the DX AF-S 18-55mm lens has come
down to $699. The
new MSRP on the 10.2MP Nikon D40X digital SLR kit with
the DX AF-S 18-135mm lens is now
$949, reflecting a $50 price reduction on the Nikon D40X camera body.
Nikon Canada has also reduced the price on a some of their digital SLR
camera accessories and lenses, including a $50 drop on both the AF-S
17-35mm f/2.8 IF-ED Nikkor lens and the AF-S 28-70mm f/2.8 IF-ED zoom.
The Nikon MB-D80 vertical battery grip for the Nikon D80, and the Nikon
SB-400 speedlight external flash have come down by $10 respectively.
