The Art Aid Ukraine is a charity that aims to raise funds to support medical aid in Ukraine and the surrounding region. The organization has been running auctions since 2016, with previous auctions raising over £100,000 in total.
So far, the charity has raised over £1 million for the country’s hospitals, which has helped treat thousands of Ukrainians who have cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The latest auction is currently live and will run until 17 May 2022. It offers a selection of works by famous photographers and artists and commissioned pieces of work and sculptures.
One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to support medical aid in Ukraine. All proceeds will go towards purchasing much-needed medical equipment such as CT scanners, ultrasound machines, and MRI machines.
As part of this initiative, they have put together an auction of donated artwork from some of the world’s leading photographers and artists. The works on offer include photographs by Jill Furmanovsky and commissioned artworks by other famous photographers, including Martin Parr and Rankin.
Jill Furmanovsky is among the countless photographers contributing their images to the Art Aid Ukraine auction. Jill has created a 54 x 40cm mounted photo of Oasis, one of the several pieces targeting to raise fundamental funds backing Ukraine.
